How many more need to die?

You see this picture up above... This young lady was shot and killed in Harlem just yesterday. She was 18yrs old, and a very good basketball player, they say. She even had a lot of colleges looking at her. She was one of the best in the country at her position.

What's the point, you may ask? The point is that she is DEAD. And why? Because someone mistook her for someone else. How many times does that happen? Too many! It really frustrates me to see how many youth are dying for NO REASON. They are dying. Understand what I am saying. THEY ARE DYING! Some of them are not literally dying, but are dying from the problems in their lives. And what are we doing to help?

I know I should've been dead years ago according to society. And many of my friends are long gone already. But I had people who helped me get on feet and change. But if we (the Youth Power Group), don't do more to reach out, others will die without a chance as well. The worst thing is that she died in Harlem NY. I know for a fact that we have a YPG on the main street in Harlem. So probably she passed by there a number of times. But I wonder, did anyone ever invite her.

She was killed at 4am. Because she was out at a party. That's why I always tell the youth to be careful. I don't do parties, because they are too dangerous. There is to much going on in the streets these days. If she was in the youth group, then she would have learned the dangers of being out that late, and maybe things would have turned out differently, because she would not have been at the party in the first place.

You who know the truth, have an obligation to tell it to others. If you don't then that is just plain sad.

How many more need to die, before we start doing more???

  1. Wow, this is a fact all of us from YPG know and we have to take action to stop it from happening.. I agree completely, how many times are we doing nothing just sitting there and see a youth pass by and we hesitate in speaking to them or just don't because: we're embarassed, shy, nervous, or are just feeling lazy.. That day when we do not speak to them we are definitely cooperating with the devil to take that persons soul and that person might even die that day without knowing who Jesus is... and that was all because of our laziness, etc...
Lets face it who isn't with God is automatically with the devil, so, lets do God's work and stop it NOW.

  3. We the YPG haven't been doing enough. we need to do more to help those who still don't know the truth, we need to break away from being timid and outreach a lot more youth.
